Wow, it's amazing how long it has been since I have gotten on here. Many things have happened since I last updated. I wasn't even pregnant then and, well, now I am almost 36 weeks pregnant and confined to my bed. When you are running around completely exhausted
bed rest doesn't sound so bad. Once you get there you realize that you have been kidding yourself all along. I have been on
bed rest before so I actually knew what to expect but do you know how hard it is to have three children (even older children) running around destroying the house while you lay there and look at the mess?! They have been pretty good about picking up after themselves but the mess is inevitable. Brandon has been great. He will get up and make me food and do other things that I ask him to do. He even made me cookies the other night. It is great to know that I have help. I am very blessed to have Brandon in my life. Hopefully he feels the same at times. We also have a very generous Relief Society that is bringing in dinner so that has been great. It is hard to be useless. I can be up long enough to go to the bathroom (which at this point is once an hour) and then I get a 5 minute shower. Do you realize what is actually possible with a 5 minute shower?! By the time you get to the bathroom start the water and get a towel and get undressed your 5 minutes is practically up. Then you still have to find the time to shampoo, condition, and wash yourself. I did manage to steal a few extra minutes yesterday to shave my nasty legs but I hurried so fast by the time I was done I had razor burn so bad and left half the hair there. Oh well I tried anyway.
It is quite comical though because I now have 4 wardens at my house. I get up for a minute and have Brandon, Alicia, Briana, and Hailey telling me to go back to bed. It makes me laugh because this is the one time my kids can get away with telling me what to do. They are so funny.
Also in the last few months I have finally finished school. I am so glad to be done. I just hope I can stay done for a while. I now have my Bachelors in Business. Now if only I could find a job and use it. That's the trick at this point.
Not much else has really gone on here. Just working and trying to get things ready for the newest addition to our family. By the way, it is another girl. We are excited for her arrival. The girls think it is great. Hailey is still a little unsure at times. She has been the baby for almost 7 years now so it will be a little different for her. It's is going to be different for all of us though so we will adjust together. As long as things keep going right we will be able to handle it.
Another great thing that has come about in the last 7 months is that Brandon and I were able to find the gospel together. This has been a great blessing to us both. A year ago I never really would have expected to be where I am today. A bachelors degree, a baby almost here, and a new member of the
LDS church. People who have known me or my family for very long probably would not have guessed that I would be baptized but when you know something is right you know it is right. I have had some conflicts since then but I am trying. I just need to get to where I can go to church every Sunday. Working has made it hard and then all the contractions have made it even harder. Now that I am confined to my bed I will just have to make sure and study the scriptures so I am still involved. That is another thing that I really need to do. I need to be a better example for my girls and read the scriptures more. When I first got baptized and was going to church every Sunday I really felt the spirit. Now there are times that I worry that I am
drifting too far away. Life gets too hectic but it really shouldn't. Work should not be the most important things but when you are trying to make ends meet it is really hard to not make it first priority. Everyone knows this feeling well I think. They just know how to juggle it better than I do.
Well anyway, I am sure if you are still reading this you are going "Holy cow, now she has too much time on her hands". I guess that is why you update these things more than once in 9 months : )
I will post some pictures later. They will just be a mixture of things that have
happened over the last 9 months. You will not see a picture of my baptism on my blog. I know it was on someone
elses but if you haven't seen it I will not tell you who. Those clothes are definitely not slimming. I looked huge. Well actually I am huge anyway but was hoping not to look quite so big. I will just put up pictures of my cute girls. They look better in pictures than I do.
I do just want to say thanks again to everyone that is helping out right now. It really means a lot to us. Chandra has been wonderful. She took the girls while I was in the hospital for a couple of days. This could not have been easy for her. Adding my three to the mix can be crazy sometimes but she is always great to help and we want her to know that she is a great blessing to us and the rest of the family. Hopefully things continue to go well and eventually you will all see the newest addition to our family.
